Roseboro Holdings CEO Ashley Roseboro to speak to Year Up!
WASHINGTON, DC- Roseboro Holdings CEO Ashley Roseboro joined Year Up in Arlington, VA on Friday, January 11th to discuss building a career that centers around doing good for others.
Year Up’s mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by providing urban young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education.
They achieve this mission through a high support, high expectation model that combines marketable job skills, stipends, internships and college credits. Their holistic approach focuses on students’ professional and personal development to place these young adults on a viable path to economic self-sufficiency.
As part of Mr. Roseboro’s discussion, he notes "Do all the Good you can, for all the people you can, in all the ways you can, as long as you can.” Because if you do, then you can answer the question posed by Martin Luther King Jr in 1957 when he challenged us to change the world for the better. He said “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, “what are you doing for others?”
Founded in 2016, Roseboro Holdings focuses on three areas: Non-profit and campaign finance consulting (Roseboro Group), Investments (On the Square), and giving youth and young professionals an opportunity to achieve their potential (Roseboro Foundation). Through our work, we build organizations that will change communities and the world.
